Today, during this blogger's interlude with the funny papers in today's local fishwrap, the final 'toon in the comics section was "Garfield." This deeply-flawed cat lives in (what is very likely) Muncie, IN with Jon Arbuckle, a cartoonist and straight man for his housemates: Garfield, Odie (a Beagle), and the mice who are Garfield's pals. Garfield's (and Odie's) veterinarian, Liz Wilson, DVM, is now Jon Arbuckle's significant other. In today's April Fool's 'toon, Jon Arbuckle voices a blogger's plaint no readers. Jon began blogging in the strip on April 19, 2010:
