A-ha! Tom Tomorrow Solves The Mystery Of Recent Bizarre Phone Calls To The Oval Office

Tom/Dan wrote in the e-mail that brought today's TMW 'toon:

I wrote this on Thursday morning, inspired by the revelation that Trump had lied about something as fact-checkable as phone calls from the Boy Scouts and the president of Mexico. About two hours later, the transcripts of his January phone calls with the leaders of Mexico and Australia were published by the Washington Post, and for a brief moment I wondered if *that* phone call story would override the phone call story I had based my cartoon on, which is basically my life in a nutshell these days. I was texting a cartoonist friend about it when it occurred to me that there’d probably be some other story by the end of the day that we’d be talking about instead, and in fact there was when news broke that Mueller has impaneled a grand jury.

Until next week!

[Cue "plot thickens" music.] Traitor-Trump sinks further and further into dementia with each passing day. If this is a (fair & balanced) call for an intervention, so be it.
