A Holiday Song For The Mortgage Industry

In this (rather gloomy) holiday season, Marcy Shaffer offers a parody of a favorite festive song. Billo-The-Clown would consider this another salvo in the "War on Christmas" that he annually hauls out on Faux News. This blog wages war on stupidity, not Christian holidays. And, speaking of war on evil, greed, and stupidity, this just in: yesterday, the Feds arrested Vitaly Borker in Brooklyn. Borker was immortalized in this blog — here and here. If this is a (fair & balanced) proclamation that crime does not pay, so be it.

"ROBO-'LY RIGHT" (Song Of The Robber Baron)
Parody of "O HOLY NIGHT" (Cantique de Noël)
(Words by Placide Cappeau/Music by Adolphe-Charles Adam/
Translated from French to English by John Sullivan Dwight)
Parody Lyrics By Marcy Shaffer

ROBO-'LY RIGHT!
THE SERVICERS WERE SIGNING.
TO POSE TO HOSE OR FORECLOSE YOUR ADDRESS.
SO WHOLLY BRIGHT!
THE NERVE OF MERS* DESIGNING.
I ROSE TO RANKING
BANKING ROBBER BARONESS.

WE BANKS, WE ACHE.
TO RAKE MORE TAKE FROM YOUR HOUSE.
WE GO OPAQUE.
TO SHAKE YOU, MAKE YOU BREAK.
(LET THEM EAT CAKE!)

CRAWL ON YOUR KNEES!
YOU BRAWL?
WE CALL THE POORHOUSE!
OUR MIGHT, WE ENSHRINE.
OUR RIGHT TO BE ELEPHANTINE.
OUR RIGHT IS NOT BENIGN.
BUT OUR RIGHT, IT IS DIVINE.

O LOWLY TYPE.
YOUR GRIPE IS ACADEMIC.
OUR DEVOTEES TWEEZE WITH EASE ALL THE LAWS.
SO WE CAN HYPE
THE TRIPE WE PIPE EACH REMIC.**
IT'S SUCH A BREEZE, WE COULD SQUEEZE SANTA CLAUS.

THE COURTS WHOSE THWARTS
OF LAST RESORTS OF YOUR SORTS
USE FAKE-ED SUPPORTS.
ARE UNMISTAKE-ED SPORTS!
(EAT OUR NAKED SHORTS!)

BAWL ALL YOU PLEASE.
BUT SQUALL?
WE FOLLOW YOUR TORTS!
OUR MIGHT WE COMBINE.
OUR RIGHT TO INTERTWINE.
OUR RIGHT TO DECLINE.
OUR RIGHT, IT IS DIVINE.

FALL ON YOUR FEES!
BUT STALL?
WE SWALLOW YOUR FORTS!
OUR MIGHT, QUITE FRANKENSTEIN.
(BANKENSTEIN!)
OUR RIGHT TO CITE WHAT'S THINE.
OUR RIGHT TO FINE.
OUR RIGHT, IT IS DIVINE.
OUR RIGHT, IT IS DIVINE.

Tom Tomorrow Takes The Gloves Off Today: Meet The Human Turtle & Mr. Orange!

Yesterday, this blog featured Superman and today — thanks to Tom Tomorrow — the POTUS (44) is portrayed as Middle-Man, the Caped Compromiser, and his arch-enemies are portrayed as The Human Turtle (Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell) and Mr. Orange (House Speaker-to-be Representative John Boehner). In the last panel, Middle-Man confronts The Dissatisfied Leftist. This blogger longs for "Kick Ass" (and Hit-Girl) to settle this nonsense. If this is a (fair & balanced) graphic blog (today), so be it.
