Better Late Than Never, Tom Tomorrow (Dan Perkins) Dissects The Response To Bad-Boy Brett's Scandal #1 & Hints At A Scandal #2 (And Counting?)

Tom/Dan was unusually late with the e-mail bearing this week's 'toon. This blogger thought — after a miserable day prior — that this would be a Tomorrow-less Monday. But the chime announcing e-mail arrival in the In Box banished those anxieties from this blogger's feeble head. In the e-mail, Tom/Dan explained:

Hey, All,

Well, since it is 8:30 PM Eastern and I am just getting this one sent out, you can surmise that it was yet another crazy week trying to keep up with, let alone stay slightly ahead of, the news. I figure this one will be outdated by tomorrow afternoon -- there are allegations breaking as I'm writing these words of another sexual harassment situation at Yale (an institution which is really taking some hits lately, I will note parenthetically). Anyway hopefully more extra commentary next week, but who the hell knows, I'm barely keeping my head above water these days!

Then, the next e-mail that arrived after today's 'toon was an e-mail from The New Yorker that announced that Jane Mayer and Ronan Farrow had a story about Bad-Boy Brett's continuing smutty adventure as a freshman at Yale, If White House vetting of possible replacements for Supreme Court Justice Eugene Kennedy contained any salacious references to sexual predation by Bad-Boy Brett (whether read- by or -to the current occupant of the Oval Office) a cry of "That's my boy!" rang through the White House. If this is a (fair & balanced) illustration of a brotherhood of sleaze, so be it.
