Today's blog post drags us virtually screaming into another unwelcome encounter with Il Douche. The saving element in today's 'toon is satire. Instead of an idiotic wall dividing the United States and the United Mexican States (official name), Tom (Dan) discards the dinky wall for a more grandiose scheme to erect a steel (made in the USA) dome over the Lower 48 states (sorry, ALaska and Hawaii) that will ward off overland immigration as well as ICBM attack from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Genius, huh? Of course, the usual cast of talking heads on the street and on TV take this lunacy seriously. If this is a (fair & balanced) portrayal of mass psychosis, so be it.
PS: The e-mail which brought today's 'toon to this blogger's In Box was devoted to Tom's (Dan's) visit to the Los Angeles Festival of Books (April 22 -23, 2017) at the University of Southern California featuring celebrities, famous authors, music, film, comic books, and cooking demonstrations. Yawn.
