Here's The Word For These Times: -Help- Welp!!!!!

In a cover message within the e-mail that conveyed today's "This Modern World" 'toon, Tom Tomorrow (Dan Perkins) wrote:

Welp.

Trump is president.

Good lord.

I wasn't able to attend one of the Women's Marches, but much gratitude to everyone who did -- it was really a necessary antidote to the poisonous rhetoric of the inauguration itself. Watching those crowds on tv, I thought we might actually get through the next four years after all.

More next week,

Dan (aka Tom)

This blogger eschews Twitter and did so prior to the appearance of Il Douche aka "Tweety." The media stars of the 'toon — Wanda and Biff of Action McNews — portray current juggling act between "news" and "alt-news." For those who pay attention to the "news," steel yourselves for 4 long years of jejune nonsense about crowd-size and subway system ridership. The world is on the brink of disaster and the media is at war with Il Douche and his minions. If this is a (fair & balanced) hope for speedy implementation of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America, so be it.
