Roll Over, William Gibson — Tom Tomorrow Has A New Take On Alternative Universes

Today, Sparky The Wonder Penguin steps through the doorway of the space-time continuum and meets himself in both the past and the future. Present-day Sparky has taken a new look — wearing a red bowtie. Sparky of the past is sans neckware, but both past/present versions of Sparky wear the identical Inuit-style goggles to ward off bull$hit-blindness. Then, if that's not confusing enough, both Sparkys are visited by a future-Sparky (ca 2024) wearing a futuristic version of the goggles and time-travel neckware. The future-Sparky delivers a message about the Dumbo POTUS 45 who calls himself "Emperor Trump." Don't laugh. The German volk voted in 1933 for the "funny little man with the mustache" who promised to "make Germany great again." If this is a (fair & balanced) hypothetical transport through time into the past or the future, so be it.
