Another week, another cartoon! Actually I wrote two last week — the first was more of an evergreen, so I’m holding on to it for the moment, and was written with the intention of taking one… single….week… away from Trump, but the news of Cohen’s guilty plea seemed like it needed to be addressed. Although, in the weird era of distorted time in which we live, that already feels like something that happened a month ago.
Meanwhile, contrary to unverified rumors you may have read somewhere, which is to say in this newsletter, the court date ending my marriage did not take place last week, but will — allegedly! hopefully! — be over by the time I send out the next one of these missives. Last week actually ended up being about dealing with lawyers and negotiating final little tweaks in the language of the settlement. Makes it hard to focus on work, but I have learned to multitask lately.
Oh, and also, this happened...

His weekly comic strip, "This Modern World," which comments on current events from a strong liberal perspective, appears regularly in approximately 150 papers across the U.S., as well as on Daily Kos. The strip debuted in 1990 in SF Weekly. Perkins received the Robert F. Kennedy Award for Excellence in Journalism in both 1998 and 2002. When he is not working on projects related to his comic strip, Perkins writes a daily political blog, also entitled "This Modern World," which he began in December 2001. More recently, Dan Perkins, pen name Tom Tomorrow, was named the winner of the 2013 Herblock Prize for editorial cartooning.
