Of course — "of course" — the big story of the week, this strange developing whistleblower thing, breaks at the end of the week. Maybe just as well, it’s hard to write about something as murky as this in real time. Maybe we’ll know something concrete next week — or better yet, the week after; I’m traveling to the Columbus [OH] Crossroads Comics festival next week and was *planning* to run a cartoon I’ve already got written, but in the Trump era, it’s rarely wise to plan on something like that. Bane of my existence.
But if you’re in the Columbus area, come by Saturday night!
I will also be signing my last book at New York Comic Con on Saturday Oct. 5 at the IDW booth, I believe from 2-3 in the afternoon.

His weekly comic strip, "This Modern World," which comments on current events from a strong liberal perspective, appears regularly in approximately 150 papers across the U.S., as well as on Daily Kos. The strip debuted in 1990 in SF Weekly. Perkins received the Robert F. Kennedy Award for Excellence in Journalism in both 1998 and 2002. When he is not working on projects related to his comic strip, Perkins writes a daily political blog, also entitled "This Modern World," which he began in December 2001. More recently, Dan Perkins, pen name Tom Tomorrow, was named the winner of the 2013 Herblock Prize for editorial cartooning. Even more recently, Dan Perkins was a runner-up for the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning.]
