Today's Post — While Not A Tweet — Is Still Short & Sweet!

This blog's poet-in-residence, Calvin Trillin, has contribued the briefest post that has ever appeared at this URL. Today's couplet reminds this blogger of another favorite two-liner from another witty poet — Ogden Nash — speaking of a gift to a new female acquaintance: "Candy is dandy/But liquor is quicker." If this is (fair & balanced) abbreviated japery, so be it.
