It seems like ancient news now that the news cycle has been consumed by Donald Trump’s declaration of a state of emergency, but early in the week the right wing was freaking out about the Green New Deal. Fox News was telling its viewers that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez personally wanted to ban all air travel and take away your cars, not to mention your cows. The talking points just got dumber from there — how can you take a train to Hawaii or Europe???!!! they asked, as if the plan is to literally eliminate all air travel. And as for the cows — there was a throwaway line in the talking points that were initially posted online, an obvious joke, something to the effect that “we probably can’t do much about cow flatulence.” And somehow that became LIBERALS WANT TO TAKE YOUR COWS!!! As usual, pity the poor cartoonist, who has to find ways to make the living absurdity of our world … more absurd?

And so, we have entered the loony bin of Faux News and the blather that the Horse's A$$ in the Oval Office spews to trigger absurdist fake-news. The Big Lie becomes The Big Absurdity — the ultimate deflection/distraction. If this is a (fair & balanced) demand for the joint-removal of the Horse's A$$ from the Oval Office and.the revocation of the FCC license held by Faux News, so be it.
