Hot Weather Desert Tan Combat Boots Should Be Made For Walkin'

"These Boots Are Made For Walkin' " (1966)
By Nancy Sinatra

At the mention of boots, this blogger thinks of the (nearly) 1-hit wonder, Nancy Sinatra. There is a subliminal message in the song. The boots are made for... walkin' and that just what we ought to do. Keep walkin' right on out of the Middle East. Who needs Arab oil? We're doin' a masterful job of destroying our own country, thanks to fracking. The US of A is glutted with Texas Tea. In fact, their is significant interest in the Middle East in reversing a major U.S. refinery from intake from tankers to outward movement of our refined oil to tankers. Just follow the money to see what is happening. Bottom line: this country doesn't need Middle East oil and our boots should be made for walkin' right out of that hellhole. If this is a (fair & balanced) ode to military footwear, so be it.

The White House talks of burden-shifting,
But guess who’ll do the heavy lifting?
If bombs won’t turn this thing around,
Whose boots will those be on the ground? Ω
