Today, Tom Tomorrow Goes "No Trump" In Today's Game & Ventures Into Some Unfriendly Skies

In the e-mail conveying this week's 'toon, Tom (Dan) also wrote:

I’ve noticed for some time that whenever there’s a story of an airline doing something terrible and being subsequently unapologetic, it’s usualy (though of course not always) United. The time they left a caged dog out on the tarmac in the pouring rain; the time they kicked off an autistic person; the time they wouldn’t let a little girl board because she was wearing leggings — these are just a few off the top of my head. But dragging a passenger bodily off the plane because you want his seat for your own employees is a new low, even for United.

I was also happy to have an excuse to do a non-Trump related cartoon for a change. In normal times, my work would focus on the administration in power, but would take more tangents like this one. Even this weekend, as the possibility of some form of confrontation with North Korea looms in the air, it feels slightly weird to write about anything else — but I need to make myself do that from time to time, or I’m not going to get through the next few years without burning out. There are only so many ways you can point out that there’s an orange madman in the White House.

Oh, and I should note: I am aware that you can’t actually open the door of an aircraft in flight without depressurizing the cabin first (which is how D.B. Cooper is said to have made his escape). It’s satire, go with it.

Until next week,

Dan (aka Tom)

Don't be surprised when Il Douche appoints a new head of the Federal Aviation Administration to replace outgoing Obama appointee, Michael Huerta, with United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz. If this is a (fair & balanced) future prediction of administrative insanity, so be it.
