So Long, Bachmann Moron Overdrive — Don't Let The Door Hit You In The Assets On The Way Out

In today's octave, this blog's favorite poet says farewell to the dumbest TRW (True Republican Woman) among the Dumbos and Teabaggers who afflict the Republic. Calvin Trillin runs through the roster of the Dumbo presidential candidates in '08 and proclaims Bachmann Moron Overdrive as Queen O'The Hill in all of the Dumbo "debates." Her departure from the U.S. House of Representatives will raise the collective IQ of that body and her return to the Land O'Lakes will lower the state IQ in Minnesota. If this is a (fair & balanced) zero-sum game, so be it.

Gigantic tears into our eyes now well
As we prepare to say farewell, Michele.
We pliers of the small-joke trade are grieving.
We so regret to hear that you are leaving.
Oh, sure, we often managed to make merry
With gaffes by Sarah Palin or by Perry.
And Cain was grand; with Trump we had a ball.
But you, Michele, were wackiest of all. Ω
