Lookin Good?

I discovered Blogger when I decided to launch a blog. Later in 2003, Google acquired that software company and I became a citizen in the Google empire. Google has been a benign and helpful provider of freeware. On top of that, Google has provided unlimited storage space, so my daily (with few exceptions) posts reside in a huge archive of blather. Recently, I noticed that my blog was rendered differently by different browsers. I — blind slave to Internet conventional wisdom — decided to make a non-Microsoft browser my browser of choice. Since I also used Gmail (by Google) as a supplemental e-mail account, I was limited to Firefox because Opera (my other favorite non-Microsoft alternative browser) was not supported by Google. In other words, I was unable to view Gmail in Opera. However, without fanfare, I tried to get to my Gmail In Box with the Opera browser yesterday and bingo! Gmail now appears in Opera! In any event, the former blog format appeared as I thought it should appear in both the Firefox and Opera browsers. When I looked at the blog in a Microsoft browser, the format was altered and I did not like the alteration. So, I went shopping in the Blogger gallery of blog templates and chose this new version. For all practical purposes, the blog looks the same in Firefox and the Microsoft browsers. I don't use Internet Explorer — with a multitude of security problems — because that browser allows malware to invade my computer. Instead, I use Ace Explorer, Deepnet, or Maxthon. All three are built on the IE platform, but claim to be resistant to the bad things that plague IE. Perhaps I am a victim of self-delusion, but I do know that the former blog template didn't work with IE. What few readers this blog attracts probably all view it with IE. I do know of one reader who uses a Mac and I hope the new format works for him. The blog is therapy for me; the equivalent of a primal scream. Now, you know why I rant & rave. If this is (fair & balanced) self-absorption, so be it.
