Heads up: The Kinkster will appear on "Imus in the Morning" on MSNBC on Monday, March 14, 2005. Imus will interview The Kinkster (and next Governor of Texas) at 7:29 AM (CDT). Be still my heart. If this is (fair & balanced) punditry, so be it.

Coming on Monday March 14, 2005

Join us at 6am eastern for "Imus in the Morning" broadcast live from MSNBC headquarters in Secaucus, New Jersey. We'll have all the stories of the day.. including, the latest on the Michael Jackson trial, as the accuser takes the stand again on Monday. Also, why is the Bush administration completely changing its tune on Iran? And, why are Americans growing more skeptical over President Bush's plan to overhaul Social Security?

Newsweek's Evan Thomas will join the broadcast at 6:29am eastern. Thomas will be on to talk about the highlights of this weeks edition of the magazine.. including, a look at the controversial nomination of John Bolton to be the next US Ambassador to the UN. Also, the hottest training and recruiting ground for Islamic terrorists. And, President Bush's big campaign to change Social Security.. which so far, may be falling on deaf ears.

At 7:29am eastern CNBC's James Cramer will be our guest. Cramer will break down the problems with the Social Security system and the President's plan to privatize parts of the system for investing. This is right up his alley, his new book "Real Money: Sane Investing in an Insane World" is climbing the charts. He writes.. "this book is the distillation of everything I have learned. Every important rule, every smart move, every edge I have been able to garner to make huge amounts of money in the market. In this book I tell you everything that made me rich and everything that could have made me poor." Sounds good to us...

A man who has tried a little bit of everything has now entered a new arena. At 8:29am eastern Imus will be joined live in-studio by his good friend Kinky Friedman. Kinky will tell us about his latest foray.. into politics.. with his eyes set on the Texas Governor's mansion. Also, we'll get a preview of Kinky's upcoming book "10 Little New Yorkers: A Novel." And, perhaps the Kinkster may even belt out a tune or two..
