At long last, the worst bill to come out of the House of Representatives Clowns this session is DOA in the Senate Education Committee. Three cheers for Senator Florence Shapiro (R-Plano). It's a pity that she can't muzzle Representative Clown Al Edwards (D-Houston). The Speaker of the House, Tom Craddick (R-Midland), certainly didn't stop Edwards (and a majority of House members) from making Texas the national joke over the past two weeks. There is bipartisan shame to go all around in the House of Representatives from the Speaker down to Edwards. The State Senate should censure Al Edwards for the buffoon that he is. If this is a (fair & balanced) mixture of disgust and relief, so be it.

"We have some very important work to do in the next two weeks, and that's not one of them."
