At long last, the worst bill to come out of the House of Representatives Clowns this session is DOA in the Senate Education Committee. Three cheers for Senator Florence Shapiro (R-Plano). It's a pity that she can't muzzle Representative Clown Al Edwards (D-Houston). The Speaker of the House, Tom Craddick (R-Midland), certainly didn't stop Edwards (and a majority of House members) from making Texas the national joke over the past two weeks. There is bipartisan shame to go all around in the House of Representatives — from the Speaker down to Edwards. The State Senate should censure Al Edwards for the buffoon that he is. If this is a (fair & balanced) mixture of disgust and relief, so be it.
