Erica (Simpson) is, of course, my daughter. DMS is my son-in-law, David (Simpson). JPS is my elder grandson, Joel (Simpson). ARS is my younger grandson, Alex (Simpson). Every grandfather needs ex-pat children and grandchildren. Armenia is a former Soviet Republic bordering Turkey to the south. The time difference is 14 hours between Yerevan and Geezerville. The lingua franca of Armenia is Russian. David and Erica love that language and culture. My grandsons will be spouting Russian soon enough. If this is (fair & balanced) multilingualism, so be it.
Hi Everyone,
Just to let you know, we made it safely to Armenia. We arrived early Monday morning. We spent yesterday walking around the city (Yerevan, the capital) and sampling the local cuisine which is delicious. We are picking out our permanent apartment today.
