Beginnning in 1963, Donald J. Sobol created Leroy "Encyclopedia" Brown, boy detective, in a long series of children's novels. Only his parents and teachers call Leroy by his given name (which he dislikes); the rest of the neighborhood children refer to him as "Encyclopedia" because of his penetrating mind. "This Modern World" is a parallel universe and in that world, Tom Tomorrow gives us "Conservative Jones," Boy Detective. Jones has a trusty sidekick, "Moonbat McWacky," just as Sherlock Holmes had Dr. Watson. In today's thrilling episode, Conservative Jones under the influence of Glen (Weepin' Eyes) Beck of Faux News is on the trail of the Fascist conspiracy otherwise known as the Dumbos (Democrats). As Richard Hofstadter taught us in "The Paranoid Style in American Politics,"We are all sufferers from history, but the paranoid is a double sufferer, since he is afflicted not only by the real world, with the rest of us, but by his fantasies as well.
No wonder ol' Glen is weepin' from all of that double-sufferin'. If this is (fair & balanced) baseless suspicion, so be it.
