If Life Is A Card Game, Does A Paradigm Beat A Paradox?

Yesterday, this blog was informed by an essay from about alienation (or not) written by a prof at The Ohio State University. A young reader in the Grand Canyon State received an H/T for suggesting the inclusion of the essay in the holdings (nearly 3K posts since 2003) of this virtual Reserve Room in the largest, messiest library on earth: the Internet/World Wide Web. Today's H/T goes out in response to an e-mail message from another regular visitor to this blog — from the Nation's Dairyland — suggesting that this blogger view an 11-minute video clip that has gone viral on YouTube. The video is an animated version of a talk that a British educator gave to the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) earlier this year. The faithful visitor Up North wrote: "Check this out. It's a good analysis of education in America." And so it is. However, in truth, this blogger always thought that a paradigm was the equivalent of 20¢. If this is (fair & balanced) lame humor, so be it.
