In today's "This Modern World," we have a colloquy between Biff and Sparky the Wonder Penguin. Biff is an archetype of a 1950s man, often appearing alone with Sparky, expressing a naive conservative opinion which invariably prompts a ranting liberal rebuttal from the flightless aquatic bird. Sparky the Wonder Penguin, wearing his trademark Inuit-style goggles, is a strong liberal advocate, although he briefly became a Republican after being hit on the head with a random falling toilet. The Inuit people of the Arctic wear such goggles to prevent snow-blindness; Sparky wears his goggles to prevent male-bovine-excrement-(beloved by Dumbos)-blindness. Even though there are no Inuit people in Antarctica, Sparky got his goggles on eBay. We all need bullshit-goggles in this season of the (Phony) War On Christmas that consumes the Dumbo airwaves. If this is a (fair & balanced) exposé of Dumbo seasonal stupidity, so be it.
