Today, this blog's poet-in-residence finds no evidence of the national hyperactivity-plague in the halls of Congress. In fact, the most common activity there is fundraising. Now, we're talkin' activity! If this is a (fair & balanced) description of those who claim to be public servants but aren't so be it.

So hyperactivity’s now on the rise,
Though overprescribing is also suspected.
Could this be a hyperactivity plague?
At least we know Congress has not been affected.
