Is Edward Snowden The Man Who Never Returned Redux?

Biff and Wanda are two blow-dried anchorpeople of the "Action McNews", a newscast in which Tom Tomorrow suggests that most TV news is little more than PR spin. A Biff and Wanda strip almost always ends with a cut to a commercial break ("Now, these messages!") This blogger has not viewed a local or network newscast in nearly a decade. Ditto for the talking head news shows for the past five years. This blogger's ole source of news is "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" with John Oliver substituting for the 2013 summer months. Stewart/Oliver make this blogger LOL and that's enough — and more than the Biffs and Wandas provide. One of tonight's news reports mentions Edward Snowden who is locked in the transit area of Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport because he entered Russia without a transit visa. Full disclosure, this blogger spent several hellish hours in the transit area of that same airport because he lacked a transit visa. So, here's a word of advice: if changing planes in Moscow, don't try it without a transit visa. (It is a single sheet of paper containing the traveler's name and personal information with a passport photo-equivalent affixed to the document. The visa must be obtained prior to travel at a Russian embassy or consulate.) O, well. Edward Snowden has taken a plane trip to very unpleasant circumstances. In the meantime, hear the Kingston Trio sing about another entrapped traveler:

If this is a (fair & balanced) nightmare for Snowden, so be it.
