Today's contribution from this blog's poet-in-residence (The Deadline Poet aka Calvin Trillin) is nicely understated. The Morons are dumber than Dumbos and they can't tell the difference between their echo chamber and the truth. Many of the Morons, in the aftermath of their loss, bemoaned the unwillingness of the POTUS 44 to "negotiate." The fools don't know what negotiate means. In this game of chicken the Dumbos blinked (and took the Morons along for the ride). The tragic element in this game is that the USA was the loser. The Moron patriots did harm to this country and that puts them in league with the jihadists and terrorists they purport to hate. May they all self-deport themselves to Afghanistan to live with their Taliban brethren. If this is a (fair & balanced) example of self-delusion, so be it.
