The backstory for today's contribution from The Deadline Poet (Calvin Trillin) came in a NY Fishwrap story about Mrs. C. (for Crackpot) Cruz: Heidi Nelson Cruz in which the spouse admitted “Ted is on my health care plan,” when she was asked about C. Cruz's health insurance coverage. So the junior U.S. Senator from Texas, C. Cruz, enjoys a "Cadillac" health plan (courtesy of the Goldman Sachs Group) worth $40K annually for the Cruz family (spouses and two young daughters). No wonder C. Cruz protests Obamacare. He wants every eligible citizen in this country to have a policy just like the Cruz family. And, if you believe that, this blogger has a bridge in AZ that was moved from London that he'll let you have for a steal. If this is (fair & balanced) chicanery, so be it.
