The commentariat struggles to fill air-time and column inches and the result is a Dream Team for 2016: Senator Randal Howard "Rand" Paul (R-KY) and Senator Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz (R-TX). Talk about a sign that the Apocalypse is upon us! Sometimes, this blog's poet-in-residence Calvin Trillin loves to scarify. Talk about Nightmare on the Potomac, but those two loons are not a (pleasant) Dream Team. If this is a (fair & balanced) phantasmal experience, so be it.
