Even Sean McHandjob Of Faux News Can't Handle The Tarheel Version Of Julius Streicher!

Out of the Dumbo/Moron flirtation with Cliven Bundy, Tom Tomorrow — this blog's artist-in-residence — resurrects Snuffy Smith from the venerable comic strip — "Barney Google and Snuffy Smith" — that brings back memories of the funny papers to this blogger. Snuffy lived (and bootlegged "corn-likker" moonshine) in Hootin' Holler, NC with his wife "Loweezy"; his baby "Tater"; his nephew "Jughaid"; his neighbors "Elviney" and "Lukey." Other denizens of Hootin' Holler included Silas, the owner of the General Store; the ostentatiously-badged Sheriff Tait, and others. In Tom Tomorrow's "This Modern World," Snuffy Smith is "The Cartoon Hillbilly" who is a little too outspoken for Sean McHandjob, the cartoon version of the Faux News bloviator. Once Snuffy begins to sound like the Tarheel version of Julius Streicher, Sean McHandjob goes back to that ol' Faux News reliable: Benghazi and drops The Cartoon Hillbilly like a hot skillet. If this is (fair & balanced) cartoon fantasy imitating life, so be it.
