The Wonder Of It All

The Great Wilkipedia teaches us that

Flower Foods [Wonder Bread baker] operates a PAC that donates almost exclusively to Republicans. From 1979 to 2014, 99.5% of the PAC's political contributions went to Republicans, the most lopsided pattern of giving of any company in the United States that contributes over $100,000 per election cycle to political causes.

and The Deadline Poet — this blog's poet-in-residence — suggests that the Dumbos ditch the elephant logo for a slice of white bread. Ah, yes — the blandness, predictability, and banality of plain white bread — the perfect meme for Dumbos everywhere. If this is a (fair & balanced) salute to bland, predictable, and banal Dumbos everywhere, so be it.

The most Republican-leaning company in the country, based on political donations, [is] the company that makes Wonder Bread.

So, given what the demographics show,
That elephant will simply have to go.
To represent the GOP precisely
A slice of white bread ought to do quite nicely. Ω
