In The Coming Thousand-Year Age Of Trumpism, You Will Say "Merry Christmas," And Mean It (Or Else)

Tom Tomorrow (Dan Perkins) provides a scathing look at the "Phony War" on Christmas that enables Dumbo/Teabagger media outlets to grouse about imagined anti-Christian "crimes" against their faith. If The Trumpster becomes Der Führer, he will enforce the utterance of "Merry Christams," not the pagan "Happy Holidays," under pain of a concentration camp visit. The irony of this crappola is that "Christmas" has been deeply influenced by pagan beliefs: holly, mistletoe and wreaths emphasize green and red colors. Green for female incubation and red for male fertility; the emphasis on animals is another pagan-connection. Before there was St. Nicholas or Santa Claus, the pagans worshiped Odin, a paunchy, white-bearded old man in their tales. Of course, there is a Christian element to the Christmas story, but the pagan-connection cannot be denied. In the meantime, the Dumbos/Teabaggers rage about red drink cups that have omitted Christmas symbolism in favor of a corporate logo. Of course the logo is a New Age salute to paganism. The Dumbos/Teabaggers just don't get it. Looking ahead to Christmas 2017, Der Trumpster can order the mass arrests of Starbucks employees and customvers and load them on the trains headed for the camps and the ovens. If this is a (fair & balanced) Dumbo/Teabagger version of "A Christmas Story," so be it.
