In an e-mail message that accompanied this week's TMW 'toon, Tom Tomorrow (Dan Perkins) wrote:
I’ve decided to retire the “Incredible Trump” character, at least for awhile — at this point, it almost seems too flattering a caricature. Baby-Man captures something much more fundamental about his temperament — it’s not just about rage, it’s about complete and utter solipsism. I had a friendly argument with a reporter I know when I was at the DNC last summer — he believed quite firmly that Trump had no “superpowers” and had no chance of winning the election; I countered that his complete lack of shame *was* his superpower.
If this is a (fair & balanced) illustration of an unlikely superpower: "shamelessness," so be it.
