Today, This Blog Offers Both Subtle & Unsubtle Versions Of "Hail To The Chief"

In the e-mail that accompanied today's 'toon, Dan/Tom wrote:

Hey All,
Since it's hard to distinguish between reality and satire these days, I should note that Giuliani really did say that Trump could shoot Comey if he wanted. It was hyperbole in the service of making his point that Trump is effectively above the law — well, I hope it was hyperbole — but it was a real thing he said.
Until next time,
Dan/Tom

The e-mail also included a service note that family business would make it likely that next week's cartoon will be a rerun of some sort.
A rerun of a Tom Tomorrow 'toon is worth a week's worth of talking heads babbling about the latest idiotic tweets from the current occupant of the Oval Office. In last night's broadcast of the 2018 Tony Awards, Robert Niro brought down the house with a rousing cry for the Resistance:

"I'm gonna say one thing: (expletive) Trump!" he exclaimed. "It's no longer 'down with Trump,' it's '(expletive) Trump!' "

If that is a (fair & balanced) circumlocution of a 4-letter vulgarity that starts with "F" and rhymes with "duck," so be it.
