June 3, 2019, Part I — A Visual Review Of Reactions To Robert Mueller's Final Statement To The Nation

Tom/Dan wrote in the e-mail that brought today's 'toon to this blogger's In Box:

Hey all,
It seemed to me that Mueller all but shouted “I’ve given you the roadmap, you dumbasses, now do your job!” His press conference was a Rorschach blot, if the Rorschach test were actually comprised of clear, definable images which right-wingers pretended not to be able to understand. I’m aware that some liberal Democrats are worried about the politics of an impeachment inquiry, but honestly, it is — as Mueller all but said out loud — the method by which our system allows us to hold a sitting president accountable, particularly when it is now apparently taken as uncontestable fact that a sitting president cannot be indicted. Without the possibility of an impeachment inquiry, then Trump is literally above the law. I had an argument in a bar with a Canadian friend the other night, who had a whole theory about Trump resigning in the last month of his presidency so Pence could pardon him, and I said, don’t be silly — he thinks he can pardon himself if he needs to. We are way outside the norms at this point, and Democrats can continue to play by Robert’s Rules of Order, but Trump clearly doesn’t care what the law says — just what he can get away with.

Until next week …

Dan

Unfortunately, the issue of impeachment is currently moot because the US Senate has the roll of a trial jury in that process and the Senate Majority Leader, Senator Dickhead McTurtle (-R- T-KY) — the T is an abbreviation of Traitor — will deliver the No-votes to allow the HA (Horse's A$$) to remain in the Oval Office and pursue reelection in 2020 a;la Clinton in 1996.

This post is the first part of today's blog post, to be followed by a classic takedown of Kabuki Theater the Department of Justice (DOJ).

If this is a (fair & balanced) bloggerly take on the Scandal of 2019, so be it.
